A failing water heater usually gives some warning. Showers turn lukewarm, hot water runs out faster than it used to, the tank rumbles or pops, or water pools around the base. Rusty hot water and a pilot light that won't stay lit are other common signs. Over the years, sediment settles in the bottom of a tank and wears it out. We work on gas and electric tank water heaters and on tankless units. Many problems can be repaired, such as a bad thermostat, heating element, thermocouple or gas valve. Should I repair my water heater or replace it?

If a part like a thermostat, element or thermocouple has failed, a repair is usually the right call. If the tank itself is leaking, it needs to be replaced. When both options are reasonable, we'll price them side by side.

Do you install tankless water heaters?

Yes. We install and repair tankless units as well as gas and electric tank heaters. The right size depends on how many fixtures you run at once, and we'll talk that through before you choose.
